The end of an era...

Cliff Edge by the Sea opened its doors as a luxury guest lodge in 2000. Over the years it became renowned for its harmonious combination of relaxed elegant accommodation, personable from the heart service, unsurpassed water views - and simply the best food.

The lodge provided the perfect venue for honeymoons, romantic interludes, and an ideal base to explore the many wonders of the beautiful Bay of Islands.

Cliff Edge by the Sea closed its doors as a hosted guest lodge at the end of the 2009 summer season. We would like to thank the many guests who stayed with us over the past 9 years for their support. It was fun, but it was time to take a step back.

And the beginning of a new era...

Cliff Edge re- opened as a new entity 'Cliff Edge Landing' with two very special serviced apartments. Although it isn't the same 'Guest and Hosted style' - its unique location, magnificent panoramic water views, and comfortable, relaxed, understated luxury has remained the same.

We can assure everyone that Cliff Edge, in its new role, is carrying  on the tradition in providing excellent service and value.

Cliff Edge Landing apartment guests will always have the opportunity to enjoy the unique Cliff Edge cuisine at our nearby 'Bay of Islands Lodge', which is continuing  the Guest and Hosted experience under the ownership and very much hands-on service of Glennis and Peter Meier.
